Summary
Looking for a 2nd Officer for a 65m+ vessel currently for sale. Position would suit newly qualified OOW or experienced bosun / lead deckhand.
Only looking for candidates with UK / EU passports who LIVE in the UK / EU - DO NOT apply if you do not LIVE in this area. No couples.
This is very much a yacht position and we require people with yacht experience, candidates with just commercial backgrounds will not be considered.
The role is a deck job, no bridge work, though you will be expected to stand watches should the vessel relocate. The focus of the role will be to lead, motivate and teach the deck crew in day-to-day jobs. You will be expected to be on deck with the deckhands and a solid knowledge of paint & varnish systems is required. This role is not likely to build much sea time in the near future (though this could change if the vessel sells) so candidates must be prepared to be stationary for the next few months at least. We are looking for candidates who could be an asset to any new owners so additional qualifications / skills (diving, sailing, PWC instructor etc), while not essential, will be looked on favourably.
