Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a 2nd engineer for an 80m+ yacht
We are actively seeking a qualified and experienced 2nd Engineer to join the team aboard a fantastic 80m+ yacht. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to work on a busy private yacht.
Must hold a valid EOOW Unlimited
As the 2nd Engineer, you will work closely with the Chief Engineer and be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engineering systems on board, including
Engines, Generators, and Propulsion Systems: Daily checks, routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Electrical Systems: Overseeing electrical distribution, machinery operation, and backup power systems.
Water Treatment Systems: Monitoring and maintaining freshwater and wastewater systems.
Safety Compliance: Ensuring the yacht complies with all maritime safety regulations, ISM and ISPS codes.
Logbook and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out, inventory management, and equipment status.
Assisting the Chief Engineer with any other duties as required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the vessel.

Leave: Rotational TBC
