Job Description
Private Staffing:
- Work within a professional household team maintaining a London-based residence of significant size and high standards.
- Collaborate with multiple staff members to ensure smooth operations across housekeeping, property upkeep, and logistics.
- Flexible working hours, requiring adaptability to occasional changes in days or shifts.
- Travel outside London will be required periodically, with accommodation provided.
Hospitality:
- Maintain the property to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organization.
- Provide occasional support with dog care when the dedicated dog carer is unavailable.
- Assist with household logistics, including coordinating deliveries, maintenance, and errands.
- Support travel preparations, including packing, unpacking, and wardrobe management.
- Occasionally prepare simple, classic meals (desirable, not essential).
Role Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and polished home environment at all times.
- Daily laundry and ironing; weekly change of bedding and towels.
- Clothing care including washing, ironing, steaming, organizing, and coordinating with dry cleaners or cobblers.
- Upkeep of furniture, art, China, collectibles, crystal, and silver.
- Monitor and replenish household essentials (water, coffee, cleaning supplies).
- Assist with shopping and ad-hoc errands as required.
- Coordinate deliveries, maintenance visits, and household appointments.
- Collaborate with the household team to ensure seamless operations.
- Occasionally assist with dog feeding and care.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive experience in private or high-standard housekeeping, with a proven track record of longevity in previous roles.
- Excellent references (written and verbal) from prior employers.
- Dog-friendly with the ability to assist occasionally with care.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Impeccably presented, discreet, and professional.
- Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing household needs.
- Willing and able to travel as required.
- Desirable: basic cooking skills.
