Job Opportunity: Captain for 116’ Benetti Motor Yacht

Location: Italy / South of France (winter base)

Cruising Program: Summer 2026 – South of France, Italy, Sardinia, Corsica

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Captain to take command of a newly purchased 116’ Benetti motor yacht. The vessel will be based between Italy and the South of France during the winter, with an active 2026 summer cruising schedule across the Western Mediterranean, including Sardinia and Corsica.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, professional leader with strong organizational and management skills, proven Mediterranean cruising knowledge, and the ability to run a yacht to the highest operational and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Full command and safe navigation of the vessel
• Crew recruitment, training, and management
• Maintenance oversight and coordination with shipyards and contractors
• Budget management and reporting to the owners
• Voyage planning and local knowledge for Med cruising
• Delivering an exceptional guest experience while ensuring safety and discretion

Requirements

• Minimum Master 500GT (preferred Master 3000GT)
• Extensive experience as Captain on similar-sized yachts
• Strong knowledge of Mediterranean waters, ports, and regulations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proven track record of managing crew and maintaining a high-standard vessel
• EU working rights or Schengen visa preferred
