A well run 50m private MY is search of a temp 2^nd engineer to join them in NZ for a brief maintenance period.

The vessel’s permanent 2^nd engineer will be taking some annual leave and the incoming temp 2^nd engineer will be working under an experience chief engineer assisting in projects / maintenance as required.

Requirements are as follows: -

Must hold an AEC or NZ equivalent qualification/licence.

Must have a bit of engineering knowledge (perhaps a trade background or time spent on previous vessels)

Prepared to live onboard the vessel during the time onboard and be part of the watch rota.

Salary: Paid in $US dollars and based on experience

Period: 16th Oct – 16th Nov (1 month)

*Yacht would prefer candidates within the NZ/Aus / Asia region for short flight to join  

Essential Qualifications

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate
