Summary
We are a heavy Charter vessel, dual season, looking for an experienced Chief Officer to join the program. The vessel is exceptionally busy and requires someone who is continuously striving for improvement, both personally and professionally. The schedule is demanding and isn't for the faint hearted. This is an excellent opportunity to get the watch keeping time required for Master unlimited. Preferably you have come through the ranks of yachting to learn the processes and procedures that it takes to maintain a high caliber super yacht. If you are coming from a commercial background, we would require you to have a fully versed understanding of deck work, operations, products, shipyard management, crew management etc.
From a Bridge perspective, your navigation skills are the priority as we are constantly moving, safety and risk awareness, maneuvering, ship handling are all a per-requisite. Communication and clarity over the VHF and UHF frequencies is a must so being fluent in English without a heavy accent is preferred.
Management of the day to day along with the 2nd and 3rd Officers include but not limited to ISM, ISPS, work rosters, leave rosters, recruitment, maintaining relationships, purchasing and budgets, performance reviews, drills and all safety related matters, crew training and development, operational & shipyard planning, Surveys and Audits etc.
