Summary

First Mate

Position Overview

A 112’ Westport operating under the Marshall Islands flag. The vessel runs a structured private program with a Tennessee River season (including UT football weekends) followed by Florida and Bahamas winter cruising.

We are seeking a hands-on First Mate with strong deck and engineering skills. This is a permanent position (90-day trial period) for a professional who can lead deck maintenance, manage safety systems, and contribute technical support to engineering. The role requires organization, seamanship, strong work ethic and a commitment to a longevity-driven program.

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead exterior maintenance and deck operations

·        Handle tenders, guest transfers, and watersports activities

·        Manage safety equipment, inventories, and drills

·        Support Captain with technical maintenance and troubleshooting

·        Ensure a well-structured, professional, and efficient deck department

Candidate Requirements

·        Valid STCW and ENG1

·        Proven yacht experience

·        Strong tender handling and navigational watch skills

·        Non-smoker, non-vaping, no heavy drinkers

·        Bonus: engineering crossover, diving, fishing, water-sports

Terms

·        Contract: Permanent (90-day trial period)
