Summary
40m M/Y running a busy private/charter program (approx. 80:20 charter to private use) is seeking a First Mate to join the team. This is a deck-focused role (80 deck:20 bridge) that combines hands-on leadership with bridge administration. The vessel maintains an active, team-oriented crew culture where fitness, watersports, and exploring are part of life on board.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bosun with a Yachtmaster Offshore in hand and looking to step up into a First Mate position. The role is heavily deck focused, requiring confidence in all exterior operations, tender driving, and guest activity support, with bridge duties including logbooks, safety drills, and oversight of deck compliance.
Itinerary: Winter 2025/26 – Caribbean, Summer 2026 – TBD
Start Date: October 1st
Compensation Package: $6,000/month + 41 days leave per year
Skills & Attributes Required:
- Proven experience leading deck operations and maintaining high safety standards
- Strong tender driving skills (essential), with watersports support experience preferred
- Fishing experience highly advantageous, integrated into both owner and charter trips
- Active, outgoing personality with a passion for the water and outdoor activities
- Organized, adaptable, professional, and team-oriented
Qualifications Required:
- STCW (fully updated) with PDSD
- YMO
- Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate
- Valid B1/B2 Visa
