The candidate will be joining a busy shipyard program in Europe scheduled until December. No green deckhands for the positions sorry, ideally seeking candidates with at least 1yr experience, great references to ability and work ethic. Salary matches permanent Deckhand position and is competitive within the market.
Candidates must hold valid STCW, ENG1, PDSD certs and be Schengen/ Visa-Free Exemption (or EU Resident).
This temporary position presents an opportunity for the candidate to join permanently at a later date in 2026 - requirements to be eligible beyond the temporary position are detailed below.
Job Description
The Deckhand is responsible to the Chief Officer for any duties delegated to him, with or without the involvement of the Second Officer & Third Officer who are responsible for day-to-day deck operations.
Duties will include general maintenance, painting, varnishing, cleaning, general repair work, bridge watches, launching and recovering tenders, assisting guests with tenders and toys.
The Deckhand will be expected to actively participate in all training exercises, drills, and safety meetings. He should have an interest to progress in the industry and be looking towards their next qualification.
Seeking candidates with the following certs / skills / experience requirements
· 1 years + experience
· Powerboat L2 (YM Offshore or IYT 200gt Limited advantageous)
· Large tender experience a bonus – good seamanship and tender ability
· Experience with varnishing and paint repairs advantageous
· Safety mindset, can-do attitude, solid team player
· B1/B2 in hand, Schengen/ Visa-Free Exemption (or EU Resident)
