We are currently seeking a Personal Assistant / Houseman for a private residence based in Miami, Florida
Overview:
The Personal Assistant - Houseman role requires direct communication and interaction with the principal on a daily basis and plays a crucial role in the daily operations of this household, providing support in cleaning, maintenance, and guest services. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that all aspects of the environment are well-maintained and welcoming.
This position will require you to travel with the principal to the North East of the US for the Summer months.
A valid Drivers license.
You will be experienced in interior management with a knack for handyman type skills
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Ensure that all fixtures, furniture, and appliances are in good working condition, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Guest Services:
- Welcome guests and provide assistance as needed, including serving drinks, helping with luggage, or providing information about the household.
- Ensure guest areas are tidy and well-prepared for arrivals.
Household Management:
- Assist with household inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies such as cleaning products, toiletries, and groceries.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, or assembling furniture.
Outdoor Maintenance:
- If applicable, assist with gardening or outdoor upkeep, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining outdoor spaces.
Pet Care:
- Provide care for household pets, including walking dogs, feeding, and ensuring their overall well-being.
Event Preparation:
- Assist in setting up for events or gatherings within the home, including arranging furniture, decorating, and serving food or beverages.
Skills and Qualities:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to notice and address cleanliness and maintenance issues promptly.
- Customer Service Orientation: Friendly demeanor and willingness to assist guests and residents.
- Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Basic Maintenance Knowledge: Familiarity with common household repairs and upkeep.
