Personal Household Assistant
Location: New York City (with travel to Long Island and other out-of-state properties as needed)
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 12:00pm – 8:00pm (flexibility required; one weekend day per week)
Salary: $40–$45 per hour
Reports to: Property Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly professional Personal Household Assistant (PHA) to join a private household team in New York City. This position requires a polished, service-oriented individual with a strong background in luxury hospitality. The role includes supporting daily household operations, providing elevated service to principals and guests, and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are maintained.
The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible, with a warm and positive presence. This role will primarily be based in New York City but will also require travel to Long Island and other properties out of state as needed, particularly during the summer season in the Hamptons.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide elevated meal and beverage service, maintaining a high standard of hospitality.
· Act as front of house, warmly welcoming and attending to principals and guests.
· Assist with table settings, service, and clearing for daily meals and special events.
· Manage household inventories, supplies, and organization.
· Run errands and support household needs as directed.
· Maintain discretion, professionalism, and a proactive, service-minded attitude at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
· Prior luxury hospitality experience is required (e.g., Chief Stewardess, Household Assistant, or similar service background).
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate needs.
· Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to changing schedules and environments.
· Friendly, warm, and positive demeanor with excellent communication skills.
· Willingness and ability to travel and work in different household locations (NYC, Long Island, Hamptons, and other out-of-state residences).
