First Mate

 46m motor yacht, Private vessel, 496gt Hakvoort built in 2000.

Palma or mainland Spain for the upcoming winter.

Recent completion of 20year class surveys with ease, with full exterior refit this upcoming winter.

The vessel is private only, non live-aboard, Med cruising  8000nm per season, Generally, 4-5 day trips with two extended cruises during the months of July & August.

Operating mini ISM with 9crew.

Ideally looking for a permanent candidate with strong skill set to match the vessel’s needs, Ideally holding OOW/master 500gt  but can consider YM.

Also consider individuals temporary bases locally based and passionate about yard / refit periods for the winter period.

 Upon completion of the refit and once up and running, there is strong possibility for this role to evolve into relief captain role, and potentially into rotation.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore

RYA/MCA Deck Modules (OR Short Courses & equivalent)

• General Ship Knowledge (OOW Yachts)
• Navigation & Radar (OOW Yachts)

RYA Qualifications

• RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency (PWC)
