Summary
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Officer for a 120m+ private motor yacht.
We are seeking an energetic, organized, and hands-on Chief Officer with proven leadership skills. Must be capable of liaising with all departments seamlessly and clear communications with Owners Reps.
The ideal candidate will lead by example, demonstrate resilience under pressure, and maintain a positive, professional attitude while fostering a supportive team environment. A good sense of humour, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills are also key.
Requirements
· Masters Unlimited & all other relevant certs up to date
· Minimum 1 year experience in same role on 80m+ yachts
· Proficient in passage planning and conducting navigational watches
· Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, navigation and watchkeeping
· Excellent tender driver with chase boats
· Confident in deck maintenance and repairs to assist and oversee the Deck Department
· Comfortable with daily, weekly, and monthly checks
· Excellent communication skills, well-organised and motivated and who can manage their time efficiently
