Chief Engineer - 40m new build M/Y Private and Charter

We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Chief Engineer with a Y3 license to join a 40m new build program in the Netherlands. This is a classic Dutch. The yacht will run a busy dual-season private/charter schedule and requires an engineer who can actively contribute during the new build phase, oversee systems from the outset, and work closely with the shipyard and management team.

Start Date: End of Aug

Itinerary: Joining Netherlands, Transport to Med, followed by… Caribbean (Dec 2025) → Palm Beach (Mar/Apr 2026) → U.S. East Coast (Summer 2026) → Med Season 2027

Considerations: Couples considered (with Chief Stewardess)

Salary: $9,000 – $11,000 DOE

Leave: 38 days during probationary period; after 90 days, renegotiated to 60-90 days with the potential to implement rotation after one year on board

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
