Vessel: 62m – world cruising exploration style yacht. Private yacht
Start: October
Rotation: 10:10 rotation . 1 days leave earned for 1 days work.
Salary: DOE

Medical cover as per MLC
OOW minimum or Chief Mate 3000.
Transas Type specific ECDIS course
The ideal candidate will have true waterman qualities ideally spearfishing, freediving etc. Those who have exploration or support yacht experience will have preference. The position is 40:60 deck/bridge when in port and 80:20 deck/bridge when on guest trips. Expected to run a deck team of 3 deckhands and a bosun daily while working closely with the chief officer. and be an excellent tender driver. You will be an experienced navigational watchkeeper and have In-depth knowledge of safety and emergency protocols. You will be comfortable working independently and supporting the Chief Officer with drills, safety inspections, and crew training. High standards of documentation, communication, and situational awareness along with strong leadership and willingness to get stuck in on deck.
This role will suit a 2nd officer who would like to join an excellent program with great management, fantastic owners, exciting cruising destinations and a good work life balance on and off the vessel. Training towards future tickets also provided at the Masters discretion after a time of service onboard.
Experience in the following will be beneficial as 2nd Officer
ISM and Safety Management Systems – we run full ISM as per a commercial yacht.
In charge of LSA, FFE , lifting operations and mooring operations maintenance
Planned Maintenance Systems – IDEA and Pinpoint works
Passage planning – Full ECDIS bridge
Chart and publication updates (OneOcean software and Transas ECDIS)
Navigation and seamanship
Garbage management and MARPOL compliance- Garbage officer
GMDSS Officer
Logbooks and bridge record keeping
Good knowledge Management audits ad Flag/Class Inspections
HLO or Heli Ops training (We will provide training in 2026 if not)
