Summary
An 80ft private sailing catamaran is seeking a hands-on, dedicated Sole Engineer to join a dynamic, family-run program currently cruising the Western Mediterranean, with a winter yard period scheduled in Spain. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of AEC 1 and be confident managing the vessel’s technical operations independently.
You’ll be responsible for the full operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of all onboard systems, including twin John Deere 209 kW (280 hp) main engines, two Kohler 28 kW generators, a Victron battery and charger system, Eco-Sistem water makers, Starlink communications, and a Williams 505 jet tender, along with all supporting electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and AV/IT systems. A proactive, solutions-driven mindset is essential, along with the flexibility to assist across departments in a small, hands-on crew.
The owners are a sporty, family-oriented group who value professionalism and a friendly, team-focused attitude. You’ll be joining a collaborative and active crew who enjoy getting off the boat for hikes, watersports, and exploring whenever time allows.
