Details:
We are looking for a skilled and confident Sous Chef to join a well-run 70m private support vessel that runs a dual-season itinerary. This is a busy vessel supporting a 93m mothership. This is primarily a crew-focused role, with occasional guest service when the principal uses the vessel for sports or catering for up to 12 of the Principal’s staff who stay onboard from time to time.
The vessel operates with four chefs total – two Head Chefs and two Sous Chefs on a rotational schedule. When the Head Chef is attending to other duties, you must feel comfortable preparing cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner for up to 22 crew. You’ll also support the Head Chef during your time onboard, contributing to menu planning, provisioning, and executing a range of international, healthy cuisines.
The galley is large and busy, with exceptionally high standards for cleanliness. Galley upkeep is shared between the Head and Sous Chef, so a naturally tidy and organised approach is essential.
Requirements:
- Female candidate only (due to cabin arrangements)
- Must have a B1/B2 visa in hand
- Ships Cook Certificate
- All certificates must be valid for the next 12 months
- European based
- Prior yachting experience strongly preferred
- Confident working alone or as part of a team
- Strong pastry and baking skills (fresh bread, birthday cakes, etc.)
- Experienced in provisioning and solo service
