Summary
Dabmar Yacht is seeking an experienced Steward/Cook to join our team for a temporary summer position. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of interior service while preparing exceptional meals for guests and crew.
The role combines traditional yacht stewardess duties with culinary responsibilities, requiring someone who can seamlessly transition between service and galley operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Culinary Operations:
• Plan, prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for guests and crew
• Accommodate dietary requirements and preferences
• Maintain food inventory and coordinate provisioning
• Ensure galley cleanliness and food safety standards
• Interior Service:
• Housekeeping of guest cabins and common areas
• Laundry and wardrobe management
• Table service for all meals
• Bar service and beverage preparation
• Guest assistance and concierge services
• General Duties:
• Maintain interior cleanliness to superyacht standards
• Assist with tender operations when required
• Support deck crew during berthing and anchoring
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years experience in yacht interior or hospitality
• Proven culinary skills with portfolio/references
• Experience cooking for 6-10 people daily
• Knowledge of international cuisine preferred
Qualifications:
• STCW 95 (STCW 2010) Basic Safety Training
• ENG 1 Medical Certificate (valid)
• Food Hygiene Certificate (HABC Level 2 or equivalent)
Skills:
• Excellent cooking and presentation skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in confined spaces
• Professional service standards
• Flexibility and positive attitude
• Swimming ability essential
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous yacht steward/ess experience
• Culinary training or professional kitchen experience
• Wine service knowledge
• Additional languages (French, Italian, Spanish)
• Valid powerboat license
• First Aid certification
