Sole Engineer in Italy

Summary

We are currently looking for a Sole Engineer to join a 50m Charter/private yacht ASAP.

Y2 with a CAT course or Y1/SV3000 required.

Joining in Naples, Italy.

Vessel is currently in the Mediterranean in the middle of a charter season. 4 Charters left for the season then returning to the USA.

Start date: 12th July 2025.

Experience:

Organisation skills

Charter experience.

Caterpillar engine experience.

Trinity experience a bonus.

At least a couple of years yachting experience on top of any commercial experience.

Male only due to cabin arrangements.

Itinerary: Med, Caribbean, United States, then Pacific/Alaska

Visas: B1/B2 preferred, schengen if needed.

Certificates: STCW, ENG1, Y2 with a CAT course or Y1/SV3000 needed.

Cayman flag.

Boat: 50m charter/private Yacht

Package: $DOE to be discussed with Captain, rotation, industry standard.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/2 Y2 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/2 Y1 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <9000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)

Engineering Modules & Short Courses (or equivalent)

• Caterpillar Series - Approved Operator Course
