We are currently recruiting a Captain for a 42 meter MY(2013 build / 2023 refit), with a strong Owner and program behind it.
CURRENT LOCATION: United States
START DATE:
Within the next 3 weeks – ideally available to assist with pre-delivery matters and Atlantic crossing planning.
ITINERARY:
- Yacht closing in July (currently under purchase)
- Will cross to the Mediterranean immediately after going through Greenland-Iceland-Scotland-Gibraltar
- Planned stay in the Med for at least 12 to 18 months
- Likely winter base between South of France and Italy
- Use will be a combination of private and charter
YACHT SPECS:
- Cayman Island Flag
- 8 Crew
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master 500/3000GT license (mandatory)
- English mother tongue
- Previous proven Captain experience on similar-sized yachts
- Crossing Experience
- Strong charter background: itinerary planning, guest service, fiscal awareness
- Excellent technical and operational knowledge
- Strong leadership skills and team-oriented mindset
- High emotional intelligence, trusted presence on board
- Long-term attitude and relationship-oriented approach
THE RIGHT FIT:
This is a hands on and trust based role, reporting directly to a new Owner with a keen technical eye and a collaborative, down to earth attitude. The Captain will be expected to lead a tight knit crew, maintain high operational standards, and help establish a successful, flexible Med based program balancing private use and select charter activity.
