Summary

This is a prestigious, well-run 78-meter private motor yacht with a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and crew longevity. The vessel operates a seasonal in the Mediterranean and maintains high engineering standards with a proactive maintenance schedule and excellent onboard culture.

Salary: 7500Eur probation period then 8000Eur

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems onboard running with a 3rd/Eto and 4th engineer.
  • Oversee planned maintenance and ensure compliance with ISM and Class regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair technical issues across engine room systems, HVAC, watermakers, AV/IT, and more.
  • Maintain detailed engineering logs and inventories using IDEA.
  • Support yard periods and refits as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Y3 CoC or EOOW or SV second engineer or equivalent or above
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role on 50m+ yachts
  • Strong knowledge of MTU engines, Naiad stabilizers, Scania generators, and hotel systems
  • Hands-on, proactive, and safety-conscious
  • Team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)
  • STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
  • ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
  • RIII/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
  • RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
