EXCEPTIONAL HOUSE MANAGER REQUIRED FOR UHNW FAMILY IN MUNICH
Location: Munich, Germany + travel within Europe
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: €110,000 gross per annum, DOE

We have a fantastic opportunity for a brilliant House Manager to oversee the daily running and operation of 3 luxury properties in Europe. Working for an UHNW family, you must be a self-starter who is experienced and confident in your ability to set up and put systems into place, liaise at all levels, be very hands-on, and have excellent attention to detail. Reporting directly to the female Principal, you will ensure that all properties are running seamlessly.
Responsible for the recruitment and management of staff, overseeing maintenance requirements, accounting and budget control, as well as administration and preparing reports for all 3 properties, you will be exceptionally organised, highly trustworthy and reliable and have strong managerial skills. Managing a team of Housekeepers, Cleaners and Gardeners, you will ensure that the family receive outstanding service when in residence, and that all properties are maintained to the highest standard year-round. Based primarily in Munich, you will be required to travel to the family’s other properties in Europe, so a valid passport is essential for this role.
Based on a 5-day work week, hours are around 40 hours per week, but flexibility is key for this role and some weekend work will be required. The family are looking to appoint an experienced and organised House Manager with proven longevity in a similar role to remain with them long term. A driver with a full EU driving license is required for this role – the family will provide a car for the candidate’s use. The family are happy to assist with a relocation package and will assist in finding suitable accommodation, however the family do not cover accommodation as part of the package.
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Coordination and management of all 3 properties
· Recruitment & management of staff at all properties; providing ongoing training to ensure that high standards are maintained
· Check and monitor properties to ensure all is in good order; overseeing maintenance requirements and reporting any issues to the principal
· Household purchasing, logging expenses and managing the budget
· Liaising with contractors, service providers and tradesmen
· Administration, preparing reports for all 3 properties
· Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are in place and adhered to
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· At least 7 years House Manager experience supporting an UHNW family
· Excellent knowledge of how to care for high-end and delicate surfaces and fabrics
· Exposure running mid-scale operations and teams
· Operationally focused and tech-savvy
· Proactive, hands-on, motivated, enthusiastic, personable, organised, strong eye for detail, and well presented
· Willingness to travel
· Experience in staff management and training
· Right to live and work in the EU
· Valid EU driving licence
· Fluent English – spoken and written
· Excellent checkable references
