We are currently looking for a proactive Captain to take command of a 45m+ MY.
The yacht is fully managed by a reputable shore-based management company, ensuring strong operational support and structure.
The Owner intends to use the yacht primarily for private cruising in the Mediterranean.
Main Responsibilities
- Owner Relations
- Provide a seamless onboard experience tailored to the Owner and guests. Anticipate preferences and deliver consistently exceptional service.
- Operational Readiness
- Prepare the yacht for cruising, ensuring all systems, safety gear, and guest amenities are fully operational. Establish clear onboard procedures ahead of the Mediterranean season.
- Management Company Coordination
- Maintain ongoing communication with the yacht’s management team regarding maintenance, compliance, financials, and logistics.
Candidate Profile
- Experience
- At least 5 years as Captain on yachts of comparable size (45m+), with proven leadership.
- Qualifications
- Master 500 GT or higher
- Valid STCW and ENG1
- Regional Experience
- Deep familiarity with the Mediterranean cruising scene
- Leadership & Communication
- Strong crew management and motivation skills
- Confident communicator with both the Owner and shore-based teams
- Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of onboard systems, planned maintenance routines, and safety management
- Adaptability
- Willingness to travel and operate between multiple regions in line with the Owner’s plans
