Summary
We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Deckhand to join a professionally run 108’ Vitters racing/sailing yacht. The ideal candidate will have a solid sailing background, be confident operating a 45’ Wajer tender, and have a good understanding of sailing yacht deck procedures and maintenance. A team-oriented attitude and a willingness to assist with interior duties when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all deck operations, including sail handling, docking, anchoring, and general upkeep
- Operate and manage a 45’ Wajer tender with confidence and competence
- Perform routine maintenance of deck equipment, lines, and exterior surfaces
- Support sailing maneuvers and daily yacht operations
- Assist the Chief Stewardess with interior tasks when required (e.g., guest service, cabin prep)
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety throughout all exterior and shared areas
Requirements:
- Prior experience on sailing yachts (preferably on vessels over 100’)
- Extensive experience driving large tenders (specifically 45’ Wajer or similar)
- Solid understanding of sailing yacht deck systems and maintenance
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to help across departments
- Valid STCW and ENG1
Priority will be given to crew from Europe.
