2nd Engineer in Italy

Summary

We are currently looking for a Second Engineer to join a 65m Northern European build private yacht.

Vessel is currently in the Med gearing up for the season.

Start date: 15th June 2025.

Experience: Minimum 2+ years yachting experience, ideally a mechanical background as well.

Attributes:

Fitness interested, healthy individual, non smoker.

Organised level headed and methodical.

Hands on approach.

Not afraid to get dirty.

Permanent role, 60 days leave, $2500 flight allowance.

Itinerary: Med

Certificates: Must have SV 2nds/Y3 or III/I equivalent for cayman island minimum manning.

STCW with security duties/ ENG1/ Seamans discharge book.

B1/B2 in hand and Schengen if needed for Europe.

Male due to cabin arrangements.

Boat: 65m Private/Charter Yacht

Package: $7000 Negotiable DOE

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
