Chief Engineer in Hong Kong

Summary

We are currently looking for a Chief Engineer to join a 55m Northern European build private yacht.

Please only apply if you are based in either Australia, New Zealand or Oceania region.

Vessel is currently in the Asia and will remain Asia based

Start date: 20th June 2025.

Experience: Minimum 4+ years yachting experience, ideally a trade background (Diesel mechanic, fitter, electrician etc)

Attributes: Family orientated

Fitness interested, gym membership included in most ports vessel is based

Organised level headed and methodical - no egos anger issues

Northern Build Experience

Hands on approach

Warranty experience - Ideal but not a deal breaker

Not afraid to get dirty, can teach 2nds and be patient

Must be based in either Australia, New Zealand or Oceania region.

Equal rotation, 6 weeks on 6 weeks off.

Itinerary: Asia

Certificates: Must have Y2/ SV Chief Engineer 3000KW or above. STCW, ENG1 or equivalent

Boat: 55m Private Yacht

Package: €10000 and discretionary bonus system, economy flights.

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/2 Y2 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
