Hi All,
We currently looking for a Bosun to run the deck and oversee the team. We are a 90m modern classic based in SOF. We will spend the majority of the summer on anchor with a large winter period planned for 2025/2026.
As the Bosun you will be expected to run the deck, prepare job lists along side the Chief officer, complete maintenance, assist with deck orders, teach the deck crew and lead the team with a positive upbeat manor. The deck team on board are experienced on deck and don't need babysitting.
The boat runs with 20 crew and on deck we have a Chief Officer, 2nd Officer, Bosun, and 4 deck crew. The chief officers are hands on and also get out on deck when needed. Excellent product knowledge is desired and tender driving is a must as you will be one of the primary tender drivers. Varnish and painting skill are a bonus!!
We enjoy teaching and like to promote with-in, this role would be suitable to a person who is completing their OOW modules who wants to step up to Bosun and then on to 2nd officer in the future. We are happy to consider first time bosuns with 3 years experience.
To apply you must have the following:
- MINIMUM OF 3 SEASONS/ 3 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY - Proven track record.
- Yacht Master Offshore
- STCW in date and refreshed with PDSD
- PSCRB - Essential
- GMDSS Desirable
- Valid ENG 1
- Discharge Book
- Power Boat Level 2
- PWC instructors (beneficial)
- Watersport knowledge
- Product knowledge
- Confident driving tenders with guests
On offer we have a euro salary, with 56 days leave (46 days leave per year plus 10 days for training and courses), there is an equal split of all tips!!! We have a training allowance on board.
