Summary
Overview
A 180ft Classic Feadship, U.S.-flagged and operating as a primarily private vessel, is seeking a full-time, non-rotational 2nd Stewardess. This is a long-term opportunity offering a strong work-life balance and a supportive onboard culture.
The yacht runs with 8 full-time crew, occasionally expanding to 10 when guests are onboard. Crew are welcome to live ashore when in home port, provided they can participate in the watch schedule when needed. The owners are American, based in the South, and known for treating their crew with respect.
Itinerary
The yacht follows a consistent annual cruising schedule:
- ~6 months in Florida
- ~3 months in New England
- ~3 months in the Bahamas
There is also an annual yard period in Florida, offering time for rest, projects, and organizational updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Stewardess in all interior operations
- Housekeeping and detailed cabin service
- Assist with provisioning and maintaining inventory
- Guest service during owner trips, including table settings and drink service
- Help with occasional event setup and crew support
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the interior
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role on yachts 50m+
- Strong housekeeping and service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to take initiative
- Positive and adaptable attitude
- U.S. passport or legal permanent resident status required
