Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Engineer for a busy private/charter 40m+ yacht
We’re seeking an experienced Chief Engineer who is ready to hit the ground running. You will work closely with a professional, healthy, positive and dynamic crew, where teamwork and communication are key.
Requirements
- C/E (MN)III/3 or III/3 (Y3)
- Experienced with AV/IT, general electrical systems & MTU engines
- Proven experience as Chief Engineer on similar sized vessels
- All required certifications up to date and in hand
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Hands on and proactive
- B1/B2 Visa
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.
- Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise.
- Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols

Location: Med
Salary: EUR 7000
Leave: 60 days
Vessel Program and itinerary- Busy private/charter vessel – currently in Med cruising to the US in winter.
