The Candidate Specification
We are looking for a motivated Deckhand to join a 25M private chase boat attached to a 70M+ mothership. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role with lots of variety, travel, and responsibility - ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and demanding environment.
This is not your standard deckhand position. You'll be part of a small crew (just two full-time onboard), so being an all-rounder is essential. Responsibilities include watchkeeping (4 hours on/off),guest assistance and daily maintenance. Engineering knowledge is a bonus. You'll enjoy a high level of guest interaction and autonomy, with opportunities to integrate with the mothership crew socially and professionally - including winter crossover work depending on program needs.
The yacht cruised over 8000 nautical miles last season, so stamina, a strong work ethic, and a can-do attitude are essential. The atmosphere is friendly and active, with regular crew activities. Meals are provided onboard the mothership when nearby.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 1 year’s experience, looking to grow within a tight-knit and supportive environment. Longevity is important, and although it can be intense at times, it’s a rewarding and varied role.
