Summary
Reiya Group is currently in the market for a capable and hands-on Deckhand/Mate to join a 40m private yacht. The vessel operates a busy dual season program between the US East Coast Bahamas and Med.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Captain with navigation, watchkeeping, and bridge duties
- Lead or support deck operations including mooring, anchoring, and tender handling
- Oversee exterior maintenance, including washdowns, polishing, and teak care
- Manage or assist with water sports setup and guest activities
- Maintain safety equipment and assist with drills and safety protocols
- Perform general deck duties and support the engineering team where required
- Take an active role in passage planning and navigation
Requirements:
- Holds OOW 500gt or working toward the ticket
- Minimum 2 years’ experience on 35–50m motor yachts
- Strong seamanship and tender driving skills
- Confident in navigation, bridge watches, and deck team coordination
- Positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to assist across departments
Package:
- Salary €4000 per month
- Full-time contract with 60 days paid leave
