Summary

Position:  Captain/Engineer - FULL TIME  - live on during the summer - live off in S. Florida during the winter.

Must have 3+ years experienced on similar sized yachts (100') as a captain

Jet Drive experience is Preferred or must be willing to learn.

Licence Required: Master 200+ with mechanical/engineering knowledge

 

Requirements: 3+ years on similar sized and jet drive experience.

The ideal captain will possess the following attributes:

 

- Prior experience working with management or a willingness to collaborate with management.

- Familiarity with Mini-ISM

- knowledge of (PMS) Planned Maintenance Systems, issues that require attention

- Exceptional communication skills.

- Proficiency in computer usage.

- Knowledge of accounting principles.

- Hands-on experience in the engine room and electronics for troubleshooting.

- The yacht is primarily used for private purposes; however, it is undergoing the process to become SVC2.

- The yacht will be located behind the owners’ house south of Miami. No live-aboard crew. The vessel will primarily spend the summers in Sag Harbor.

 

- The current crew consists of a stewardess and a deckhand, both of whom have two and one year with the program, respectively.

- The owners are comfortable with the current crew and are willing to provide housing for the crew members.

- The captain must be willing to train the current deckhand for advancement.

- The ideal candidate should be active, and preferably with minimal ties.

- Zero tolerance for alcohol and drug use.

- A proven track record of longevity and a relaxed demeanor.

Other Requirements:  Must be able to pass a background check. Looking for a Captain/ Engineer 

 

Responsibilities: Running a successful and enjoyable/safe owner program

 

Job Specifics: The vessel will run with 3 crew full-time. 

You will be expected to keep the yacht in top condition. Safety is most important. 

 

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience. Very good USD

 

Package: Medical coverage is provided, flights to and from the vessel, accrued paid leave, etc. are included and to be finalized during interview process.

 

Commercial Registered Yacht: No - private under 500gt
