Job description:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Male Sole Chef for a 40m private motor yacht, flagged under Malta and based in the South of France.
This is a seasonal role with standard MLC vacation (2.5 days/month), onboard a privately used yacht that remains in port most evenings and does not charter.
The ideal candidate should already be based in the South of France and must be English-speaking. No watch duties are required, and the yacht has a stable itinerary focused around the French Riviera, with potential for a Corsica cruise in September.
You’ll be cooking for 8 crew members and up to 6 guests (usually 2) on board.
The owners enjoy a mix of casual family-style trips and more intimate trips with fewer guests, favouring plated yet simple and elegant Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, incredible presentation skill is essential for this role.
The position is open to male chefs only, due to cabin arrangements.
You must hold a valid food hygiene certification, an ENG1, and a valid STCW certification and be extremely organized, clean, and able to run a solo galley.
