Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Head Chef for a 60m private motor yacht based in Italy.
The yacht operates with 14 crew and accommodates up to 12 guests, cruising the Mediterranean over the summer and crossing to the Caribbean in January 2026.
The chef must be confident managing a galley team of 2 and delivering consistent, fresh, and guest-pleasing meals throughout the season. Culinary training is essential, and previous superyacht experience is required. Greek cuisine is highly preferred, with a focus on simple, Mediterranean-style meals, grilled dishes, BBQs, and occasional teppanyaki. The owners prefer familiar, approachable dishes and do not favor overly complex or fish-heavy menus.
The service onboard is mostly buffet-style, and the chef must be capable of preparing light desserts as needed. You will work closely with provisioning companies and must be organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
The ideal candidate is a female chef due to cabin arrangements, with a strong ability to create guest and crew meals that are simple yet delicious. The role includes a 3:1 rotation equivalent (approx. 90 days off annually) offering flexibility in scheduling.
All necessary yacht certifications must be in place, including a valid Ship’s Cook Certificate (SCC).
