TEMPORARY HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR UHNW PROPERTY IN CENTRAL LONDON

An experienced, hardworking, and proactive Housekeeper is sought to support a busy UHNW family in their large 3-floored private property in the Mayfair area, Central London. The client is looking to appoint a dedicated, energetic, hands-on team player in a temporary capacity to cover the maternity leave of their permanent housekeeper for 6 months from August 2025 – end of January 2026. For the ideal candidate, the role could start earlier, at the end of June 2025, if a longer contract is desired.
Working as part of a small team and reporting to the head housekeeper, duties include cleaning and tidying bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas to a high standard, as well as laundry, ironing and wardrobe management. Additionally, you will also prepare breakfast for the family, lay and clear the table and tidy up the kitchen/dining areas following breakfast, so someone with great interpersonal and organisational skills is required.
A live-out role, you will work 5 days per week from 7am-3pm on a rolling schedule, with one guaranteed weekend off per month, and two consecutive days off each week. If working over the weekend, the hours will be 8am-4pm. The ideal candidate will have a fantastic eye for detail and the ability to work autonomously, yet be able to follow instructions where required.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Daily housekeeping and cleaning of the property
• Cleaning and turning over bedrooms, including making beds and changing bed linen
• Liaising with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
• Preparing and serving breakfast; tidying up the kitchen
• Laying and clearing the table
• Flexible approach to tasks and team support, assisting the other housekeeper and head housekeeper as required
• Ad-hoc errands
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior experience in a similar role working as part of a team for a high-net-worth family
• Hardworking with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude
• A strong multitasker with a proactive, self-motivated nature
• Great teamwork skills as well as the ability to work autonomously
• Brilliant eye for detail and a strong work ethic
• Comfortable with preparing breakfast and serving at the table
• Well-presented, professional and personable with good interpersonal skills
• Positive, friendly and calm with a can-do attitude
• London-based & have the right to live and work in the UK
• Fluent spoken English
• Excellent checkable references
