Head Chef
Location: Private Estate – Bahamas (TEMP)
We are seeking an experienced and professional Head Chef to join a high-end private estate in the Bahamas for a guest trip scheduled in July. This is a dynamic culinary role suited for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, service-focused environment and is capable of delivering a range of cuisine styles.
Interviews will be held in person in South Florida at the end of May. Candidates must be available to attend.
You will work alongside a Sous Chef and be responsible for all culinary operations, preparing meals for approximately 6–8 guests and 25 estate staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare daily meals for estate guests, ranging in style from family-style to plated service
-Design and execute a variety of menus including healthy Mediterranean-style cuisine, beach BBQs, refined dinner service, and casual outdoor picnics
-Collaborate closely with the Mrs., who is highly involved in menu planning; flexibility and the ability to adapt to changes and requests is essential
-Prepare and manage meals for staff members, ensuring consistent quality and timely service
-Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism in the kitchen
-Manage food inventory, provisioning, and kitchen logistics in coordination with the household team
Candidate Requirements:
-Previous experience as a Head Chef in a private estate or similar high-level hospitality setting
-Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with principals and other team members
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead a small team in a high-demand environment
-Experience in preparing a variety of cuisines with a focus on health, freshness, and elegant simplicity
-Able to adapt quickly to changing needs and preferences with a positive and professional attitude
Competitive and based on experience
