Summary
Private 23m sailing catamaran is seeking a motivated and reliable cook/stew for a US East Coast summer and beyond.
The yacht will be sailing up from the Caribbean to the US East Coast to take part in scheduled events, owners trips, and fall boat show circuit. We are ideally looking for someone to join before we depart the Caribbean around 12th May.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain interior (cleaning, boat laundry, some organizing when necessary, etc.)
- Prepare and attend to guest cabins and bathrooms during owner trips.
- Meal and drinks service when owners or guests are onboard.
- Ensuring the yacht is adequately provisioned with food and drinks.
- Cooking healthy simple food for crew, and occasionally owners/guests.
- Foster a positive and professional atmosphere onboard, with crew, owners, and any guests or visitors to the yacht.
Note: This is not a chef position - we do not anticipate a need for especially elaborate or gourmet dishes.
Requirements
- 1 year minimum working on yachts in a similar role.
- STCW basic safety training and valid ENG1 or equivalent.
- Comfortable working in a marine environment and and able to perform duties with minimal seasickness.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and guest service skills.
- B1/B2, US citizen or Green Card holder.
Salary $3250, industry standard leave, health insurance.
