The candidate specification

We are currently in search of an experienced 2nd Officer to join a new under-construction Motor Yacht. Initially, this role will be on a shore-based contract, with a transition to a rotational schedule expected towards the end of the year after delivery.

As the 2nd Officer, you will collaborate closely with the Chief Officer, ensuring all safety protocols are meticulously observed before the yacht's delivery. While newbuild experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. However, we do require candidates to have prior experience in a similar rank, along with a valid STCW certification. Proficiency in navigation and safety procedures is essential, as is the ability to demonstrate strong leadership and effective communication skills.
