Privately owned and operated 62m Feadship is looking for a 2nd Officer

An exciting opportunity has opened on this prestigious, well maintained and professionally operated yacht.

The vessel is currently in Spain and looking to hire additional crew by the middle of May. Once crewed up, the vessel will go into drydock for a brief period before rolling straight into a busy summer season in the Mediterranean. The plans are to cross the Atlantic at the end of October and be based around Florida with trips to the Bahamas and potentially some time spent around the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean.

This position offers a great opportunity to develop essential skills as an Officer. This is a dual role with time spent on the bridge and on deck. The 2nd Officer is expected to be able to supervise deck crew with their general upkeep of the vessels exterior and to manage crew maintenance projects.

We are looking for somebody mature, levelheaded and career oriented that is ready to put some time in and build longevity on this vessel. The candidate should have an agreeable personality and positive attitude. It is important that the 2nd Officer supports the management structure and is ready to lead by example.

We are towing a large tender so there is an opportunity to get drive time on a 42ft Chase boat and Watchkeeping time when underway. A considerable amount of training goes into bringing on crew so in return the vessel is expecting to get at the very least a minimum of 1 year commitment.

This is a non-rotational Position and details of the contract will be disclosed when interviewing shortlisted candidates.

This position can be coupled with a 2nd Stewardess or a Stew/Hairstylist.
