Private - 39 m Classic Feadship built in 1973 by Royal Van Lent in Amsterdam.

Seeking a Full-Time 5+ years yacht experienced 1st Mate, USA Based.

Presently the boat is at the Feadship Shipyard in Amsterdam having a light refit this winter 2023/2024, planning to cross back to USA New England in May, on own bottom.

The boat owner has had the boat 24 years. He is a very hands on owner, he likes to be involved in the works taking place on the boat and is very knowledgeable in the engine room and throughout the boat.

Mate position is hands on as there is only Mate, Captain and deck/stew on the deck team.

We run with a crew of 6. The 1st Mate has his own cabin / head. Large cabins with good sized bunks and plenty of closet and storage space.

The owner takes pride in keeping the boat as original as possible so a “Fix” rather than a “Replace” mentality is required.

There is plenty of bright work so varnish and paint abilities are a requirement.

We have a Novurania tender with new 90 Hp Honda Engine (2023) and a Ski Nautique which is used for watersports.

The boat will cross the Atlantic to New England in May and spend the Summer 2024 Season in Nantucket, at anchor. The owner prefers anchor to dockage and so we anchor in the Nantucket Bay and remain at anchor from June 20th through the summer until we return to Florida in September.

At present the boat is only used roughly from June 20th > September 15th in New England and winters in Fort Lauderdale Florida with only the captain, mate and engineer remaining onboard. We winter at Roscioli Marina in Fort Lauderdale under a roofed shed.
