We are looking for an experienced and skilled Captain to lead a 55m+ SY in the Med and Caribbean. The client is looking for a dynamic individual who shares our passion for sailing and delivering top-tier service.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel while providing an unparalleled experience for the guests. The ideal candidate will possess extensive sailing yacht experience, preferably with Perini vessels, and demonstrate strong leadership qualities both on and off the deck.

Responsibilities:

Safely navigate the yacht through Med and Caribbean, considering weather conditions, maritime regulations, and guest preferences.

Oversee all aspects of yacht operations, including crew management, maintenance schedules, and onboard safety procedures.

Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by leading by example and promoting teamwork among crew members.

Maintain open communication with the yacht owner, management, and guests, ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently met and exceeded.

Uphold the highest standards of service and hospitality, creating memorable experiences for guests through personalized attention and impeccable service.

Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for crew members to ensure readiness for any emergency situations.

Manage budgetary and financial aspects of yacht operations, including provisioning, maintenance expenses, and crew salaries.

Maintain a hands-on approach to yacht operations, actively participating in sailing maneuvers, anchoring, and docking procedures.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Captain on sailing yachts, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in Italian or Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Extensive knowledge of sailing techniques, navigation, and maritime regulations.

Experience with Perini vessels preferred.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire crew members.

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.

Valid Captain's license Master 500 GT and relevant certifications.

Ability to work flexible hours and travel extensively as required.

Demonstrated commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and service.

Position is not rotational
