Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Mate for a seasonal position for private use 34m motor yacht.

This is an immediate start and to join the yacht in Spain. Family use only with lovely British owners and family cruising Mediterranean.

Contract from April to October but the position could become permanent for the right candidate.

The yacht runs with 5/6.

Responsibilities:

Assist the captain in navigating and operating the yacht safely and efficiently

Supervise deckhand and assist with their training and development

Maintain the exterior of the yacht, including guest interaction, water-sports, etc.

Handle mooring operations and assist with tender and water toy management

Oversee inventory management for deck supplies and equipment

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations

Qualifications:

Yacht master/yacht master ocean.

Valid STCW certification and ENG 1/Seafarers Medical

Additional requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role on yachts of comparable size

Proficiency in navigation and seamanship skills

Strong leadership and communication abilities

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations

Priority is given to EU passport holders and those already in Europe.
