Summary

An exceptional opportunity awaits a skilled and experienced Captain with great expertise in the UAE to oversee the operation of a SanLorenzo with a vibrant crew, who are all experts in their field. Thus also looking for someone that fits within a youthful crew yet high performing environment. The yacht will have regular day use, and short regional trip during the winter, with friends and family onboard in Dubai. Owners love to just chill out on the boat during the week and take it for a small trip, and sometimes have meetings onboard in the evenings. We are looking for someone up for the challenge and takes initiative in exploring new locations in the UAE that might have been unchartered. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the vessel, crew, and guests, as well as maintaining the yacht to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the safe operation of the vessel at all times, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and best practices.

Manage and coordinate the crew, delegating tasks as necessary and ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Plan and execute itineraries in consultation with the owner and guests, taking into account weather conditions, local regulations, and other factors.

Ensure the yacht is maintained to the highest standards, including regular maintenance and upkeep, as well as coordinating with outside contractors as necessary.

Manage budgets for the yacht, including maintenance, crew salaries, and other expenses.

Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, including waste management and pollution prevention.

Maintain accurate logs and records, including vessel maintenance, crew training, and guest preferences.

Provide exceptional hospitality to guests, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment at all times.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid STCW Master 500GT certificate or equivalent.

Have a minimum of 3 years' experience as Captain on similar sized vessels.

Have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests, crew, and other stakeholders.

Have a strong understanding of navigation, engineering, and other technical aspects of yacht operation.

Be familiar with the UAE in general, including local regulations and customs.

Be able to work flexible hours and be on call as needed.
