ROCK Sailing offers a range of practical, live aboard sailing and motor courses based upon the well respected RYA training scheme.

The school operates a fleet of four Coastguard Certified, spacious, modern yachts, fully equipped with up to the minute navigation technology as well as mod cons such as refrigeration, CD players and showers. Our 36 foot Bavarias, Rockstar and Great Escape are excellent all-round sailing yachts ideal for close-quarters’ boat handling. Then we have Rockefeller, a 36ft Jeanneau performance cruiser for those who relish a thrill, and our two 40ft Jeanneaus, Bombay Sapphire and Scarlett Lady, which are ideal for families or groups who would like a little more space for whole boat tuition.

We provide all the bedding aboard as well as full sets of wet weather clothing on free loan to students. We’ve found from experience that students do like to go ashore to sample the local cuisine. All the same, with the exception of three evening meals, all food is included in the course fee.

Sailing in and around all the Straits of Gibraltar presents a challenging, yet safe, year-round training area and unlike the UK based schools we can usually guarantee lots of sunshine and warm comfortable temperatures.
