Principal Instructor: Terence Lee As a registered RYA Yacht Master Instructor with over 40 years sailing experience Terence Lee (Terry) has covered over 50,000 miles at sea on a wide variety of yachts, sailing around the UK and the world delivering yachts, racing and instructing.   During his sailing career Terry has run numerous sail training courses, flotilla training courses and corporate sailing events. He has experience of training all ages and has trained on behalf of Sunsail in Portsmouth where he instructed under sixteens and teenage sailing weeks.   A gifted and inspiring instructor Terry's friendly personality makes learning to sail enjoyable for all ages and at all levels.   Qualifications: RYA Yacht Master Instructor Yachtmaster Offshore Master of Yachts 200 gross tonne RYA / MCA Short Range Radio Certificate First Aid Certificate  Renewed   06/06/11 STCW 95 Personal Survival Certificate ML5 Certificate of Medical Fitness Renewed  28/04/11 CRB checks in place. Sailing Experience Yacht Delivery: Terry has delivered yachts worldwide under the name of Excel Yachting. Sailing areas include: The Mediterranean, Southern and Northern Atlantic including three Transatlantic, Caribbean, North Sea, Baltic Sea all around the UK. Terry qualified as RYA/ MCA Yachtmaster instructor in 2009, carrying out training both practical and theory for Day Skipper through to Yachtmaster (Navigation and Meteorology). Examining students for Certificates of Competence and General Collision Regulations   VHF Radio Course Instructor: Dick Smith Richard Smith is our senior VHF Instructor and has been a qualified Yachtmaster Offshore for 10 years and a Yachtmaster Instructor for 5 years. Dick brings a wealth of experience and teaching skills to Excel Yachting, having taught English and Geography for 40 years at GCSE level and instructing VHF, Navigation and Practical Sailing both for local schools and for Sunsail Ltd in the Solent. Dick owns his own yacht (moored in the south of France) and he particularly enjoys Mediterranean sailing.   RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (Sail): Bob Wiggins Bob is a Co-Instructor at Excel Yachting and has provided training for RYA practical sail training courses, youth training and corporate racing (including many Cowes Weeks).
