Spa Therapist/ Steward(ess)
Salary : EUR 4000 to EUR 6000 Per Month
The Spa Therapist / Steward(ess) fulfils a specialised dual role aboard luxury vessels, combining professional wellness expertise with interior support duties to enhance the guest experience. This versatile position blends therapeutic skills with hospitality service to deliver personalised spa treatments and wellness programmes whilst contributing to the broader interior operations of prestigious yachts.
Working within dedicated wellness facilities and throughout vessel interiors, Spa Therapist / Steward(esses) provide rejuvenating treatments tailored to individual guest preferences whilst maintaining immaculate spa environments and supporting wider interior service requirements. They create tranquil experiences that complement the luxury maritime lifestyle, adapting professional techniques to the unique context of yacht-based wellness provision.
Key responsibilities include performing a comprehensive range of therapeutic treatments such as massage, facials, and body therapies, maintaining spa facilities and equipment to pristine standards, and managing treatment scheduling for guests. They prepare treatment spaces, monitor inventory of wellness products, provide product recommendations, and maintain detailed treatment records. Additionally, they assist with interior service duties including cabin preparation, meal service support, and general housekeeping tasks when not engaged in spa responsibilities.
The role demands exceptional therapeutic expertise combined with service orientation and adaptability. Spa Therapist / Steward(esses) must possess advanced knowledge of various treatment modalities, demonstrate meticulous attention to hygiene protocols, and maintain professional boundaries when delivering personal treatments. They require both specialised wellness skills and broader hospitality capabilities, including discretion, flexibility, and the ability to anticipate guest needs across both wellness and interior service contexts.
Career advancement opportunities include progression to dedicated Wellness Director positions on larger vessels, development of comprehensive onboard wellness programmes, or specialisation in particular therapeutic disciplines. The position offers excellent prospects for qualified wellness professionals seeking to combine therapeutic practice with the unique lifestyle and travel opportunities available within the luxury yachting industry.
