Salary : EUR 3000 to EUR 5500 Per Month
The Storekeeper serves as the critical inventory and supply chain management specialist aboard maritime vessels, responsible for ensuring the reliable availability of all essential materials, equipment, and consumables required for effective vessel operations. This essential role combines logistics expertise with maritime knowledge to maintain optimal inventory levels in demanding and space-constrained environments.
Aboard vessels ranging from commercial ships to luxury yachts, the Storekeeper manages complex procurement systems, maintains accurate inventory records, coordinates deliveries, and ensures regulatory compliance for all materials aboard. Technical proficiency with inventory management systems is essential. Storekeepers must demonstrate expertise with specialised maritime inventory software, digital procurement platforms, and supply chain management technologies. They must maintain accurate digital and physical records, ensuring complete traceability for all materials aboard the vessel.
Professional communication skills are equally critical. Clear communication, negotiation skills, and relationship management contribute significantly to effectiveness in this role.
