Chief Engineer in Sint Maarten

Summary

We are seeking a Chief Engineer for a 44m motor yacht currently in Sint Maarten. In this permanent role, you will oversee all engineering operations on board, ensuring the vessel's systems and machinery operate efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, managing inventory for spare parts, and adhering to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications, extensive experience in marine engineering, and a strong ability to work under pressure. Proven leadership skills and a commitment to excellence in vessel management are essential for success in this role.

Minimum EOOW III/1 or Y4 for a COC and must have a US B1 visa. This is currently a permanent position which will be moving to a rotational position once the program is where we want to be within six months.

Vessel winters in the Caribbean and summers in New England.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y4 Chief Engineer (<200gt <1500kW)/ EOOW III/1 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
