A well-maintained 40m Busy Charter Yacht with an experienced Captain and longstanding, experienced crew is seeking a Rotational Engineer to join the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vessel cruising the South Pacific and French Polynesia. The yacht operates to a high standard with a fantastic reputation in the region.
Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience as Chief/Sole or second Engineer on vessels 35m+
• Confident in fault-finding, diagnostics and planned maintenance systems
• Experience managing engineering budgets, spare parts inventory and technical documentation
• Calm, solutions focused approach under pressure
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Captain and Shore support
• High standard of presentation and professionalism when interacting with Owner and guests
• Organised, proactive and committed to preventative maintenance culture
• Team player, with good energy
Itinerary: The South Pacific and French Polynesia regions, including remote island operations and extended passages.
Start Date: As soon as possible!
Contract: Rotational
Salary: AUD $DOE - discussed upon interview
Requirements:
• Valid STCW + Seafarer Medical
• AMSA Engineer Class 3 , Y4 or equivalent - must hold valid engineering certification recognised for commercial yacht operations
All certificates must be current and in hand
Previous experience in remote cruising itineraries highly regarded
Strong references proving longevity and good character required
