LANDBASED SENIOR HOUSEKEEPER/WARDROBE & LAUNDRY SPECIALIST (+RELIEF BUTLER) REQUIRED FOR A PRIVATE RESIDENCE
Location: Monaco and/OR London
Regular travel across multiple properties in Europe
Accommodation provided during all travel; separate Monaco staff accommodation may be included
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Housekeeper with wardrobe and laundry expertise, comfortable operating to UHNW standards. The role includes light relief butler duties and occasional preparation of simple, tasty meals for the principals when the chef is not present.
This is a long-term position in a fully staffed private household, with opportunities for formal butler training following a successful trial.A key focus of this role is to maintain consistent routines, standards, and organisation across all properties, helping to replicate the household’s habits and high standards wherever the candidate is located.
Key Responsibilities Wardrobe & Laundry (Primary Focus)
Full management of the principals’ wardrobe, including luxury and couture garments
Hand-washing, stain treatment, steaming, pressing, and careful handling of delicate fabrics (silk, cashmere, tailoring)
Wardrobe organisation, seasonal rotation, packing/unpacking for travel
Coordination with specialist cleaners, tailors, and suppliers
Housekeeping & Household Support
Maintain the residence to impeccable standards at all times
Daily upkeep, deep cleaning, and organisation
Care of fine surfaces, furniture, and valuables
Ensure the home is always guest-ready
Support consistency of routines and organisation across all properties
Relief Butler Duties
Work hand in hand with the House Manager/Butler, supporting smooth household operations
Provide light butler/service support on an as-needed basis
Follow established hierarchy, standards, and communication protocols
Cooking for Principals (Optional/Ad-hoc)
Prepare simple, tasty meals for the principals when the chef is not present
Focus on quality, presentation, and taste; no professional chef skills required
Adapt to dietary preferences and occasional special requests
Pet Care
Walk, feed, and provide daily care for two dogs
Genuine love of animals is essential
Travel & Property Support / Consistency Across Properties
Regular travel across multiple properties in Europe
Ensure household standards, routines, and organisation are consistently maintained at every property
Support household operations at secondary residences or hotels
Accompany principals on trips and ensure smooth running of each property
All travel-related accommodation is provided
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years’ experience in private households or yachts
Proven wardrobe and laundry expertise (essential)
Service-oriented, discreet, organised, proactive, and adaptable
Comfortable working closely with the House Manager/Butler in a fully staffed UHNWhousehold
Able to prepare simple, high-quality meals for the principals when the chef is not present
Able to maintain consistent routines, organisation, and high standards across multipleproperties
Willing and flexible to travel regularly to different properties across Europe
Fluent in English; French a plus but not mandatory
EU passport or full right to work in Europe
PACKAGE
€4,000 euros net per month for candidates already located in the area.
Leave: 2 days off per week/ and holidays according to the French agreement.
Separate accommodation could be provided and the final package will be negotiated with this taken into account.
